About Us: The TeamTAMI YEAGER is the project's Co-Executive Producer and Video Director. She is a documentary television producer working in New York and Miami, and has covered a wide range of subjects for TV networks and non-profits. Most recently, she co-produced "Making a Baby," an hour-long documentary about infertility for MSNBC and two half-hour documentaries for ABC News and PBS. She is currently in production on an independent documentary about America's first post-9/11 hate crime murder, called "A Dream in Doubt." She has a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the American University. MANDEEP SINGH DHILLON is the project's Co-Executive Producer. He holds a JD and MBA from the University of Virginia and a BA from Duke University. He is co-founder of the Lohgarh Sikh Educational Foundation, an organization working to better integrate Sikhs into American life through education and dialogue. After working as an attorney for several years at Latham & Watkins in California, Mandeep now works as a consultant for McKinsey & Company, a global strategy consulting firm, where he focuses on High Tech and Media. Mandeep lives in Redwood City, CA with his wife and two children. PREETMOHAN SINGH is the project's Producer. From 2002-2005, he served as National Director of the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF), a national non-profit organization. Preetmohan participated in Teach for America as a fifth-grade teacher and has also been an education and technology director for an after-school program. He is currently the Senior Policy Analyst at The Interfaith Alliance in Washington, DC. Preetmohan is a graduate of Georgetown University and also studied at Oxford University in England. THE GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL (GDS) is a K-12, coeducational independent school with over 850 students in Greensboro, North Carolina. Led by Library Media Specialist Aprille Black, teachers, administrators, students, and staff at GDS have collaborated with The Sikh Next Door team to design and pilot the curriculum. |
